11+

Queen Elizabeth's High School is a selective grammar school and children wishing to come to our school at the start of their secondary education need to sit the Lincolnshire 11+ tests during the start of Year 6 (primary school) and entry depends upon qualifying in the 11+ tests. 

To register your child to attend the Familiarisation Days and sit the 11+ test in September 2026, for entry in Year 7 September 2027, please complete the registration form here. The deadline to register your child is Friday 20 March 2026.

Applications for a school place must be made through your Local Authority and not the school. If you do not apply for a school place through your Local Authority, your child will not be offered a place at the school on National Offer Day, regardless of their 11+ score.

When preparing your child to sit the tests, we consider that the two familiarisation tests carried out by us are sufficient preparation for the tests. However, familiarisation papers are available to purchase from various outlets or free to download from the GL Assessment website. Please ensure the multiple choice format is purchased. Our Published Admissions number is 188 for entry in September 2027 and should we receive more applications than our PAN, places are allocated using the Over-subscription Criteria.
