Deadline for Application: Midday on Monday 1 June 2020
Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance
As a member of the Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance, Queen Elizabeth's High School will be offering initial teacher training places for the academic year 2020-21. LTSA is a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training Provider (SCITT) and supports both School Direct and Provider-led training places.
Whilst formal training is provided by LTSA and the University of Lincoln, trainees spend much of their time in school learning from classroom based practitioners. LTSA will award Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the University of Lincoln will award the Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) on successful completion of the course.
Each year a significant number of graduates are recruited in a wide-range of subjects. For September 2020 LTSA is looking to recruit trainees in the subjects shown. Some of these will be offered at Queen Elizabeth's High School.
If you are interested in finding out more, please visit the LTSA website: www.lincolnshiretsa.co.uk
All applications for Initial Teacher Training are submitted via UCAS. Information about places offered and application procedures can be accessed from the UCAS website.
QEHS also works closely with Sheffield Hallam University and Bishop Grosseteste University, offering placements in a range subjects. Placements are organised by the University. Typically trainee teachers undertake two long major placements in an educational setting. The host school provides specialist subject mentors and the opportunity to teach across all key stages. If you are interested in finding out more about this teacher training route, please visit the Bishop Grosseteste University website: www.bishopg.ac.uk or the Sheffield Hallam University website: www.shu.ac.uk
The school can also offer work experience placements, for those considering undertaking teacher training. These can be arranged directly with the school. Please contact the School Office on email@example.com
