Sixth Form Dress Code

Queen Elizabeth’s High School has a Sixth Form dress code designed to promote a positive and respectable image of the school.  All sixth formers are expected to adhere to it. 

Boys

Suit Jacket *

Shirt – plain or striped

Trousers – sober colour

Shoes (black or brown leather)

Tie

Examples of what not to wear:

Sports tops / hoodies / track suit bottoms / no logoed clothing

Trainers / Converse / canvas / Dr Marten type boots

Jeans / denim / tight trousers / shorts

No facial piercings, ear spacers, visible tattoos, extremes of hairstyles (cut or colour).  

 

Girls

Tailored jacket* / waistcoat* with full length trousers OR skirt which should be appropriate, smart and of decent / modest length (no extremes of style eg mini-skirts)

OR

Smart dress with tailored jacket*

Blouse / smart top (No low neck lines)

Shoes / boots (black or brown leather)

Examples of what not to wear:

Sports tops / hoodies / track suit bottoms / no logoed clothing

Trainers / Converse / flip flops / UGG boots / Dr Marten type boots

Jeans / denim-look / skinny or tight trousers (eg leggings) / shorts

Strappy / revealing tops or bare midriffs / backless clothing

No extremes of fashion (eg mini-skirts or large print designs)

No facial piercings, ear spacers, visible tattoos, extremes of hairstyle (cut or colour).

 

*May be omitted when summer uniform is instigated for the remainder of the school.

 

If you attend school dressed in what is judged by staff to be an inappropriate manner, you will be referred to a member of the Sixth Form Team and sent home to change, thus wasting valuable lesson time.
